A pediatric nurse assesses the needs of the patient and provides initial patient care. Additionally, they also help the families of injured children deal with illnesses and injuries. Often, pediatric nurse’s advice on diet, nutrition, and appropriate health habits. Pediatric nurses work in clinics, a doctor’s office, and also found at hospitals. Depending on the facility, the working hours of these nurses can vary.  

To become a pediatric nurse, one must have a diploma and either an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Subsequently, the professionals also require a registered nursing license and should carry out clinical work to gain experience in pediatric care. Moreover, to obtain certification from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, one can pursue a voluntary certification course.
